Your Consultation, Step by Step
1. Meet Our Team
When you arrive, our team will welcome you and review your dental and medical history forms. This is a great time to share what’s bothering you about your smile and what you’d like to change.
2. X-Rays and Diagnostic Photos
Next, we take digital X-rays and photos of your teeth and face. Our digital X-rays use minimal radiation and give our orthodontists a clear picture of your teeth, roots and jaw.
3. A Complete Orthodontic Exam
Our orthodontists check how your teeth fit together, how your jaw is growing or aligned, and whether treatment is needed now, later or not at all. For younger children, this may mean simply keeping an eye on how things develop.
4. Talking Through Your Options
If treatment is recommended, we’ll walk you through your options, such as metal braces, clear braces or Invisalign. We’ll explain how each one fits your daily routine and give you a personalized timeline for your treatment.
5. Reviewing Costs, Insurance and Payment
Before you leave, we’ll review your treatment cost, check your insurance benefits and go over payment plans. At Cooper Orthodontics, braces and Invisalign cost the same, so cost never has to decide which option you choose.
